UPDATE!!
Our Love Boxes arrived in the Philippines in early November. Distribution of the gift bags is November 30th. We will post pictures when we get them. Praise the Lord that we've been able to participate in this lovely project and pray for these children who are orphans, but are so well cared for by our sisters and brothers in Christ.
The Philippine Love Box project began Sunday, March 3rd and continued each Sunday in March. After a visit with our missionaries Erwin and Rowena Cabrizos, we discussed the options for helping support children on one of our own mission fields in the Philippines.
We can't fill the bags in the same way as the Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes. Every bag must be alike, so we are raised money to buy and send 100 bags to go in the Balakbayan Box.
Our goal was $2000, but we raised $3221.39!! Praise the Lord and thank you for your generosity!!

UPDATE!!
On Sunday, June 16, we started filling bags for the Love Box. The adult ladies class worked on filling one hundred bags with colored pencils, a drawing pad, a pencil sharpener, erasers, a ruler, crayons, a beach ball, candy, a toothbrush, toothpaste, a face cloth and towel, a reusable drink pouch, and underwear and a T-shirt for each child. In early July the boxes were shipped to the Philippines for arrival in December. We look forward to hearing of their arrival and distribution. Thank you again for your wonderful generosity for this project!
